At Genesis, we are dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by addiction as they regain stability, confidence, and hope. We provide a safe, nurturing environment along with thoughtful programs and practical recovery tools designed to meet clients where they are in their journey. Through compassion, structure, and a strong sense of community, we encourage clients to support one another, rebuild their lives, and create a solid foundation for lasting recovery. Our Programs
Here at Genesis, we empower individuals to take responsibility for their actions while learning how to enjoy healthy freedom within a safe, structured, and supportive recovery environment. Our unique 30-, 60-, and 90-day phased programs are designed to meet each resident where they are in their sobriety journey, allowing them to grow at a steady and meaningful pace. As residents move through each phase, they are encouraged to build accountability, develop positive daily routines, strengthen communication, and participate in part-time work, life skills development, volunteer opportunities, or day programs that promote purpose, stability, and personal fulfillment. Through guidance, peer support, and consistent structure, Genesis helps residents gain the confidence and practical tools needed to make responsible choices, maintain sobriety, and successfully transition into an independent sober lifestyle. Genesis provides the essential foundation for lasting change, supporting clients every step of the way as they work toward a healthier, more stable future.
MAT TREATMENT
Medication Assisted Treatment
MAT treatment is the use of medication in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies for the treatment of substance use disorders.

Drug Testing
Regular Random Drug Testing
All residents are randomly/ regularly drug tested with urine and / or Breathalyzer. The cost is included in our program fees. Genesis have a Zero Tolerance Policy for Drugs or alcohol use. This is NOT ALLOWED and can result in Transition to Higher Care, Discharge, Detox or Rehabilitation.
IOP /PHP Program
Intensive Outpatient Treatment
Our IOP and PHP programs offer compassionate, structured support for individuals navigating mental health challenges or substance use recovery. These programs provide intensive therapy, counseling, and clinical care while allowing clients to maintain connection to home, sober living, and daily responsibilities. PHP offers a higher level of daytime treatment, while IOP provides flexible ongoing support as clients build stability, confidence, and healthy routines. Together, these programs create a welcoming bridge between inpatient care and traditional outpatient services, helping each person move forward with guidance, accountability, and hope.
12- Step & AA Programs
12 Steps To Maintaining Abstinence and AA meeting to provide confindential and support in a group setting.
In-house AA meetings and the 12-step program work together as peer-based recovery support for individuals facing alcoholism, substance use, or related addictive behaviors. These meetings provide a safe, confidential setting where participants share experiences, receive encouragement, build accountability through regular attendance, and strengthen personal commitment to recovery, relapse prevention, and positive change.

Meet the Founder of Genesis Independent Living
Welcome to Genesis Independent Living. My name is Christine Roberts, and my commitment to wellness and recovery is rooted in my family's personal experiences with mental health challenges. Raised by my grandmother, I learned early on the value of patience, compassion, and dependenable care - principles that continued to guide me while working with cancer and hospice patients at Broward General. With my background as a PCA, Phlebotomist and Certification in Mental Health First Aid, I am dedicated to supporting individuals facing mental health and addiction challenges. I believe that compassion, understanding , and structure can help create a meaningful path toward recovery, stability and lasting wellness.
Meet the Administrator of Genesis Independent Living
Hello, I'm Towana. I have more than 30 years of corporate experience, supported by a background in Business and Visual Communication. Throughout my career, I have developed a strong ability to stay organized, create structure, and help operations run smoothly. My passion for wellness grew through my work as a Certified Health Coach and my Certification in Mental Health First Aid, as well as through my personal experience supporting my son through his struggles with addiction. I am honored to be part of Genesis Independent Sober Home, where I look forward to supporting residents on their healing journey with compassion, encouragement, and care.
